Police arrest 911 caller in West Phila slaying of Valerie Angeline

Police have arrested the 911 caller who said he found the body of Valerie Angeline, 31, in West Philadelphia Saturday.

Brandon Timmons, 22, of the 6100 block of Columbia Avenue in Overbrook, is charged with murder, abuse of a corpse and firearms offenses.

Timmons previously said he found Angeline in her first-floor apartment on the 300 block of North 64th Street shortly 8 p.m. She was stabbed multiple times and shot in the head.

There is no word on an exact motive, only that the incident was “domestic” in nature. Timmons is scheduled for a preliminary hearing April 11.
