Police arrest man for Club Onyx shooting

Police made an arrest today in Thursday morning’s shooting outside strip joint Club Onyx in South Philadelphia.

Members of South Detective Division and the Violent Crimes Task Force took Kyle Carter, 25, into custody at 10 a.m.

He is charged with aggravated assault, attempted murder and related offenses.

Carter allegedly pointed a gun at a patron during an argument as the club let out and told him he had five seconds to get off the establishment’s front steps. After a brief countdown, police said he shot the man once in the neck and fled in a white or silver SUV.
