Police Find Dead Infant on Logan Porch

Police are asking for the public’s help in locating the mother of an infant found dead on a Logan porch this morning.

Medics found the newborn, a black girl wrapped in a brown blanket, on the porch of a house on the 4900 block of North Marvine Street and alerted authorities around 9:18 a.m.

The baby still had the umbilical cord attached and police are concerned about the well-being of the unknown mother, who may need medical intervention.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call 911 or the Special Victims Unit at 215-685-3251.
