Philadelphia police have identified the man beaten to death early Saturday morning in Wissinoming as Joseph Britton, 30, of Levittown.
Investigators said officers responded to the 5900 block of Charles Street shortly before 1:20 a.m.for a report of a person screaming that he was being assaulted by a stick or bat.
There, they found Britton bleeding from the head and slumped over in the driver’s seat of a blue Hyundai Tiburon.
Britton, of the 7000 block of Curtis Avenue in Levittown, was pronounced dead shortly before 1:30 a.m.
Police are seeking four suspects in connection with the brutal killing.
Those suspects are described as two black males, one white male and one Hispanic male traveling in a black car, possibly a black Ford Crown Victoria with tinted windows.
The vehicle was last seen driving on Charles Street toward Benner Street, according to authorities.
