Police ID suspect who allegedly stabbed a man in the head in North Philadelphia

Police have made an arrest in a violent attack in North Philadelphia last night.

A 46-year-old man was stabbed multiple times in the head during an argument inside an apartment on the 1200 block of Rising Sun Avenue shortly before 11:30 p.m. He reportedly stumbled outside, where he collapsed due to a loss of blood. Authorities said he is still hospitalized at Temple University Hospital in critical condition.

Rafael Williams, 19, of the 3300 block of North 10th Street, was taken into custody a short time later on the 1100 block of Thayer Street, police said. He is charged with aggravated assault and related offenses.
