Police have identified the woman whose body was found in a North Philadelphia residence last night.
Lavonne Thrones-Johnson, 52, of the 2200 block of North Gratz Street, was found pronounced dead in her home shortly before 11 p.m. She had been beaten in the head with an unknown object, police said.
Authorities were reportedly alerted by Johnson’s sister, who became worried when she had not heard from her.
No weapon was recovered and no arrests have yet been made.
