They say Dijion Bowie, 30, of the 2300 block of 78th Avenue, was shot outside Whispers Lounge on the 7600 block of Ogontz Avenue when a fight that started inside the club spilled into the street.
Authorities responded around 1:15 a.m. to find Bowie lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. He was rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly before 1:30 a.m.
No arrests have yet been made, but a warrant has been issued for a suspect in the shooting.
