Police Investigating Attempted FOP Headquarters Firebombing

An unknown assailant attempted to firebomb the Fraternal Order of Police Headquarters last night.

A witness traveling west on the 1300 block of Spring Garden Street heard the sound of glass breaking shortly after 5 a.m. The witness saw a person standing in front of the FOP Headquarters’ double doors and tossing a fiery object through the shattered windows.

The fire was self-contained and put itself out without any damage to the interior of the building.

The offender is described merely as a 5’7″ to 5’8″ person of unknown race and gender.

Detectives have checked the area for surveillance video. So far, the results are negative.
