Detectives released surveillance video Monday in an attempt to catch a gunman who fired at least eight shots Black Friday in Fairmount.
Just after 12:30 a.m., the suspect fired in the direction of a car that was traveling on the 2300 block of Poplar Street, police said.
No one was injured in the shooting. Authorities said officers found eight spent shell casings from a .40 caliber firearm.
The clip shows the shooter and another man getting into a pickup truck, described by investigators as a dark-colored, four-door Ram with a chrome grill, bumper and wheels, after the incident.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact PPD’s Central Detective Division at 215-686-3093/3094; call or text 215-686-8477; or submit a tip at www.phillypolice.com/forms/submit-a-tip.
