Police: N. Philly rapes are similar

NORTH PHILADELPHIA – Police are investigating two rapes that may have been committed by the same suspect.

The first took place Nov. 14 around 4 a.m. near Broad and Girard. Authorities said the victim is a 25-year-old woman who took a cab from a Center City bar and was dropped off near Broad and Fairmount.

In the second attack on Nov. 20 around 3 a.m., the victim, a 26-year-old woman, had also taken a cab from a Center City bar. She was about to enter her residence on the 1600 block of Brandywine Street.
