Police search for missing 12-year-old girl

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a 12-year-old girl who left her West Philadelphia home last Wednesday after an argument with her mother and has not been heard from since.

Leena Washington of North Hirst Street is described as a five-foot-five, 178-pound black girl with scars on her left knee and left chest and long braided hair that falls past her shoulders. She wears prescription glasses and was last seen in a turquoise jumper and leopard print shoes, though she may have changed into a gray hoodie and jeans.

Washington was last seen in the area of 1200 North Millick Street but may also frequent 60th and Market streets and 60th Street and Washington Avenue.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Southwest Detectives at 215-686-3183 or Tina Gainer Johnson at 215-681-7952.
