Authorities are hoping the public can help identify a suspect who fatally shot a man inside a barber shop earlier this month in Germantown.
Surveillance video released Thursday shows the gunman and his getaway car, a silver Pontiac Bonneville, according to investigators.
The shooting occurred at around 1:15 p.m. Thursday, April 6, on the 5900 block of Germantown Avenue, police said. Officers found 35-year-old Antione Garrett inside the shop suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
Detectives described the suspect as a heavyset Black man who, at the time of the killing, was wearing a Nike hat, gray Adidas sweatshirt and a blue-and-white striped garment around his waist.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact PPD’s Homicide Unit at 215-686-3334/3335; call or text 215-686-8477; or submit a tip at www.phillypolice.com/forms/submit-a-tip.
