Puttshack is making its way to Philly, and as the world’s only tech-infused mini golf experience, we are all in for a unique treat.

Opening at The Shops at Liberty Place on Saturday, Feb. 24, this venue will also house a food and beverage program and live entertainment on top of the four 9-hole tech-driven, highly competitive mini golf courses. Puttshack uses “Trackaball technology” where each player will create a unique player profile, synced to their own individual golf ball at the start of gameplay.

Then, as the release states, engineered with a microprocessor, this golf ball tracks the player’s score, bonus points earned, which holes have been played, and more. Returning players will be able to use their profile to access data about past visits, games, and other metrics. Guests can compete against one-another in groups of up to six players.

“We’re ecstatic to be opening in the heart of Center City Philadelphia this winter. Our location in The Shops at Liberty Place is the perfect venue to welcome both locals and tourists alike,” said Susan Walmesley, CMO of Puttshack in a statement. “We’re looking forward to welcoming in a whole new group of thrill-seekers who get to experience our one-of-a-kind tech-driven mini golf, global flavors, and lively entertainment all in one space.”

The space is meant to be family-friendly during the day, and then at 8 p.m., it turns into a 21+ club for the night with a DJ booth staking out weekly. Puttshack also dons a bar and dining room space with a selection of both drinks and food.

Food menu highlights span chorizo and cheese empanadas, Korean bao buns, and wood-fired octopus, and there are also a few new items specific to its Philadelphia location. The Cheesesteak flatbread for one is comprised of house-made cheese whiz, shaved roast beef, grilled onions, and peppers, and the Philadelphia Tailpipe features spring rolls filled with roast pork, provolone cheese and garlic-grilled broccoli rabe. To support the surrounding community, Puttshack will also donate $1 from every Philadelphia Tailpipe sold to Philabundance, the region’s largest nonprofit food bank.

On the drinks side of the occasion, Puttshack will offer a selection of beer including local brews like Yard’s Brewing Company, Cape May Brewing Company, and Evil Genius Beer Company. On the cocktail side of things, highlights include the Spicy Pineapple Mezcal Margarita garnished with a house-made jalapeño popsicle, and the locally-inspired Fish House Punch featuring Myer’s Dark Rum, Martell VS Single Distillery, peach schnapps, cold-pressed lemon and lime juices, a candied lime wheel, and red cherry. And for those not looking to imbibe, the venue also offers mocktails.

As the release finishes, the upscale entertainment venue will offer a semi-and-fully private event space for a number of various party requests, and includes a second, private full-service bar, ideal for special occasions such as corporate outings, engagement parties, birthday gatherings, and so on.
