Andy Reid has a plan and he’s sticking to it.
Yesterday, the Eagles coach reiterated what he told reporters Sunday: The starters won’t play in tomorrow night’s preseason finale. That includes rookies Brandon Graham and Nate Allen. Backup quarterback Michael Vick will play the first half, with third-stringer Mike Kafka taking over after halftime.
“Of course you want to play any chance you get,” said starter Kevin Kolb. “Andy’s got his reasons and we believe in his reasons, so we’ll stick to what he wants.”
The twos and threes are fighting over a limited number of roster spots. Bubble guys, like Macho Harris, will be evaluated with how strong they are on special teams.
“That weighs heavy on those last couple of roster spots,” Reid said.
