Reward offered for serial Overbrook PFFCU branch bank robber

The Police and Fire Federal Credit Union is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the man who robbed an Overbrook Park branch three times in four months.

Each time the man presented a demand note to a teller at the branch, at 7604 City Avenue, “and gestured that he had a gun, though no weapon has been physically displayed,” according to police.

The most recent robbery was on Halloween in which the man fled the PFFCU empty handed, police said.

Authorities also believe he is responsible for robberies at the PFFCU branch on July 1 and July 29. Authorities have not released the total amount stolen.

The suspect is described as a black man in his mid-30s, approximately 6’-6’2” tall, with a medium build, scraggly goatee and medium to dark complexion.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 215-418-4000, or the Philadelphia Police Department at 215.686.TIPS (8477) or text a tip to PPD TIP or 773847.
