Senior Living is done with comfort and care at InnovAge. Or so, that’s the goal for Jarod Champeaux, Regional Director of Operations and the team working at the facility.

“InnovAge is a Pennsylvania-approved LIFE (or PACE) program operating in 22 zip codes in Northwest and Northeast Philadelphia,” Champeaux explains. In some communities, like Philadelphia, PACE is known as Living Independently for Elders (LIFE).

Champeaux continues: “InnovAge manages a participant’s medical services including primary and specialist care, transition between care settings, transportation, therapy, day services and home care.”

As the official website for the company states: LIFE is designed to keep seniors independent and at home for as long as possible. The website also states that senior care decisions are never easy, especially when dealing with complex health issues that require multiple services. InnovAge LIFE, known nationally as the Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), can help by providing healthcare and social services to seniors in Philadelphia —without having them move into a nursing facility.

“InnovAge is a provider of services and an insurer and that means that each participant has access to primary care and a team that works to ensure the healthcare goals of the participant are met and individualized,” Champeaux continues.

There are a total of five LIFE centers for seniors locally located in Allegheny, Germantown, Pennypack, St. Bart’s, and at Henry Avenue. The care provided as well is always at the helm of the individual. As the company states itself, senior care is not ‘one sized fits all.’ That means that each participant has a customized LIFE experience to meet their individual needs.

That means that each InnovAge member receives special care at the facilities. Each center is equipped with spaces for medical care, physical therapy, behavioral health, and more. Day rooms and dining spaces for socialization among their participants are also provided, and population-specific design elements, such as grab bars and secured entries and patios are also always on site.

Overall, the company aims to helps seniors live life independently for as long as possible. They do so as being the largest provider of the Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) based on participants served, and they have been for the past three decades.

And qualifications for the program? As Champeaux says, it’s just a matter of being 55 years or older, require nursing home-level care and living within the vicinity of a PACE center.
