SEPTA police recover heroin branded with Stephen Curry’s face

Recently confiscated heroin shows that dealers in Philadelphia are now pushing packets of the drug branded with the face of NBA star Stephen Curry.

Thomas Nestel, chief of SEPTA’s transit police, posted a picture on Twitter of little bags of heroin, each marked with an image of Curry’s face, seized by authorities earlier this week, CBS3 reported.

In 2012, Lebron James’ image was similarly used on 140 packets of heroin found by police in Upper Darby,Philly.comreported.

Lawmakers have been trying to combat a heroin and opioid epidemic in the area,PhillyVoicestated, adding that upcoming community meetings to be held by Philadelphia City Councilman David Oh are expected to address the issue.

The bags with Curry’s face were presumably used to move and distribute the drug, CBS3 added.
