In partnership with the Philadelphia Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week, SEPTA is hosting a virtual business workshop, “Opportunities in Transportation.” The session will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 5 from noon to 1:30 p.m. and feature representatives from SEPTA, the Port of Philadelphia and the Enterprise Center’s Small Business Transportation Resource Center.

Topics will include how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected business; how small and diverse businesses can position themselves for success; and upcoming projects and contract opportunities.

“SEPTA shares the city’s goal of achieving an equitable and inclusive recovery,” said SEPTA General Manager and CEO Leslie S. Richards in a statement. “We are committed to promoting business opportunities for local, small, disadvantaged, minority and women-owned companies.”

Every year, MED Week highlights minority businesses and the resources that help them grow.
