One living dog was found in the yard, and another living dog was found inside the home, where another deaddog was located. Both surviving dogs are at the PSPCA headquarters.

“Due to the condition of the house, including blood on the walls, the PSPCA suspects that dog fighting is involved in the death of these animals,” the PSPCA said in a press release. “The PSPCA is uncertain whether anyone is currently occupying the property, and is seeking the help of the public in uncovering exactly how the dogs ended up there.”

The same location was previously found to be the site of dogfighting in 2014, when the PSPCAremoved six dogs from the property and filed charges against owner Wayne Charleston.

Charleston’s case is still pending, according to investigators.

“Though it may not always be apparent, dog fighting continues to be prevalent in the city of Philadelphia and across the state,” PSPCA CEO Jerry Buckley said in a statement. “We are dedicated to uncovering who is responsible for this case, and are asking for the public’s help in doing so.”

Anyone with information in this case is being urged tocall the PSPCA’s Cruelty Hotline at (866) 601-SPCA.
