Shooting over a piece of pastry in Old City

OLD CITY – A late night reveler went postal over his pastry early yesterday morning, according to police, who say an argument turned deadly over a munchie.

The shooter apparently wasn’t happy with his friend eating a piece of his pastry, police said. They got out of the car and shots were fired. The victim, 31, was in extremely critical condition yesterday at Hahnemann Hospital.

The alleged shooter, 43, wasn’t identified. He fled south on North Second Street after the shooting at Second and Callowhill streets, driving a gray or silver Mercedes Benz.
