Police are investigating the shooting death of a man found in his car yesterday in Northeast Philadelphia.

Officers responding to a report of gunshots at Pratt Street and Oxford Avenue at 11:15 p.m. found the victim, 36, inside his car parked in front of El-Ran’s Place Bar.

The victim had reportedly gotten into a verbal fight with another man inside of El Ran’s, 1257 Pratt Street, about 15 minutes before he went to his vehicle and was shot multiple times in the head, chest and abdomen.

He was taken to Aria-Torresdale Medical Center, where he died at 12:18 p.m.

A police spokeswoman said they have identified the man, who they believe to be from the area, but have not yet notified his family.
