Sixers flex options on two players

The Sixers exercised options on guard Jrue Holiday and forward/center Marreese Speights on Thursday, putting both players under contract through 2011-12.

Holiday, the 17th pick in 2009, averaged eight points and 3.8 assists in 73 games. Speights, the 16th pick in 2008, has averaged 8.1 points, along with 3.9 rebounds in 141 games.

The Sixers open the regular season on Oct. 27 against Miami
