Sixers’ growing pains

To say the start of the Sixers’ season has been overshadowed is the understatement of the year. It’s like proclaiming Megan Fox is hot. We know.

But after the Sixers were shellacked on opening night in Orlando, they weren’t complaining about the lack of attention.

“After the way we played the other night, we don’t want a lot of attention,” said coach Eddie Jordan before Friday night’s home opener.

The Sixers have since righted the ship, albeit against two of the worst teams in the Eastern Conference. They weren’t sharp against the Bucks on Friday, but pulled out a 99-86 win. On Saturday, they blew a 23-point lead but recovered to beat the Knicks, 141-127 in overtime. The Sixers are 2-1 this season.

“We’re concerned about the 48 minutes right in front of us, we’re not concerned about the outside world right now,” Jordan said.
