Sixers Notebook: Jrue Holiday named All-Star

It was a crowded field and nothing was given — albeit deserving.

Once the dust settled Thursday night, Jrue Holiday had been named as a reserve on the Eastern Conference All-Star team. Holiday joins Kyrie Irving, Chris Bosh, Tyson Chandler, Joakim Noah, Luol Deng and Paul George as reserves. East starters include LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Kevin Garnett, Carmelo Anthony and Rajon Rondo.

Holiday is averaging 19 points per game and 9.0 assists per game. He is just the second player in Sixers history to average at least 18 points and 8.0 assists. The other one? Wilt Chamberlain.

The 62nd NBA All-Star Game will be played Sunday, Feb. 17 at 8 p.m. in Houston.
