The Sixers, Temple football team and Flyers are all in action in the same 10-hour block down at the sports complex in South Philly.
First, at 12:30 p.m. the 76ers host Dwight Howard and the Atlanta Hawks in the team’s second game of the 2016-17 season. A chance to see Joel Embiid is enough in itself to drive fans to Pattison Ave. But wait, there’s more …
The Owls, fresh off a huge win at home against South Florida last week look to keep momentum moving forward in the AAC East as they host Cincinnati at 3:30 at Lincoln Financial Field.Anyone showing a 76ers or Flyers ticket from that day will receive $5 off a Temple ticket at the Linc box office on game day. Additionally, the first 3,000 fans ages 14-and-younger will receive Temple trick-or-treat bags. Kids will be able to pick up candy in the Kids Zone at the stadium.
And finally, back at the Wells Fargo Center the Flyers welcome (or not, as the case with Pittsburgh may be) the defending Stanley Cup champion Penguins Saturday night at 7 p.m.
No motivation needs to be presented to Flyers fans to get them to WFC, as any chance to boo Sidney Crosby in person must be cherished.
Tickets for all three events are available online now.
