Stanley Cup Final Game 3 betting preview: Golden Knights vs Panthers

The Vegas Golden Knights are just two wins away from their first Stanley Cup in franchise history. On Monday night, they dominated the Florida Panthers on their way to a 7-2 victory.

On Thursday, the series shifts to Sunrise, Florida, for Game 3. The Panthers have only lost three games at home these playoffs and they’ll need to turn things around quickly to claw back into the series.

Stanley Cup Final Game 3 betting preview

MONEYLINE: VGK (+102), FLA (-122)

SPREAD: VGK +1.5 (-245), FLA -1.5 (+198)

TOTAL: O 5.5 (-140), U 5.5 (+114)

Best bets for Game 3

Any Time Goal Scorer – Reilly Smith (+290)

Reilly Smith tallied four shots on goal during Monday’s win but didn’t register any points. During the playoffs this year, Smith has 12 points in 19 games and scored 26 goals during the regular season.

Smith found the back of the net in Game 1 on three shots, and lighting the lamp in Game 3 seems like a major possibility.

Player to Record 2+ Points – Jonathan Marchessault (+350)

Jonathan Marchessault is a man on a mission. He scored three points during Game 2 (2G, 1A) and seems unstoppable this series.

Marchessault has 21 points in 19 playoff games and is making the Panthers regret not protecting him during the 2017 expansion draft. With his current form, 2+ points from him during Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final seems like just the minimum of what he will do.

Moneyline Florida Panthers (-122)

Although they’re down 2-0 in the series, the Panthers come in as favorites for Game 3. After getting run out of Las Vegas, the Panthers will be out in full force to prevent going down 0-3 in the series.

After dropping games three and four to the Bruins in the first round, Florida responded with three straight victories. If they were able to find a way to come back and upset the best regular-season team of all time, there shouldn’t be any doubts about them clawing back against the Golden Knights.
