Howie Roseman addresses AJ Brown, Jalen Hurts ahead of 2026 NFL Draft

The Eagles GM and head coach Nick Sirianni answered the big Eagles questions, but didn’t give much away.

With the 2026 NFL Draft a little over a week away, the Eagles Head Coach Nick Sirianni and GM Howie Roseman took questions at the annual pre-draft press conference Tuesday. Roseman took the questions most fans wanted answered, but, as always, he doesn’t flinch this time of year and revealed little.

His answers are measured and vague. He wears a smile while also showing a half-poker face, with plenty of misdirection sprinkled in.

Roseman was asked about acquiring the wide receivers that he has this offseason, Hollywood Brown, Dontayvion Wicks, and Elijah Moore. He suggested they had been fortunate not to have their WR depth, which is true, but it was also a bit of a dodge.

When Howie Roseman was asked directly about Dontayvion Wicks, he called him a “Physical, explosive player.”

When pressed further about the implications of the wide receiver signings regarding potentially trading AJ Brown, he kept the mood light by asking reporters

“What do you think the odds are that I’m answering this question any different than I answered anywhere else?”

Classic Howie. Redirection, reframed, while revealing nada. He closed that discussion with : “A.J. Brown is an Eagle.”

Regarding the safety position, more of the same.

“We’ll add players at that position”.

And when the conversation inevitably circled to Jalen Hurts and the recent reports regarding how the Philadelphia Eagles regard their QB, Roseman acknowledged the question without feeding into the drama.

“I have seen those reports,” and then shared his thoughts on the matter. “It is unfair to have these articles written, but I understand it is also what sells at this point.”

Nothing extra. Nothing revolutionary, just enough to fulfill the presser appearance while leaving a whole lot unsaid.

As always, thank you for reading!
