8 Eagles who could be traded before the 2026 deadline

From Dallas Goedert to Moro Ojomo, the Eagles have eight potential trade chips as Howie Roseman weighs the roster’s future.

Posted

The NFL trade deadline is on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. ET, and the Philadelphia Eagles have several players who could realistically be available if Howie Roseman decides to reshape the roster.

From expiring contracts to players who may no longer fit into Philadelphia’s long-term plans, here are the candidates, their potential trade value, and why a deal could make sense.

Defense

Moro Ojomo, IDL

Ojomo is in the final year of his rookie contract, and his compensatory value appears close to what the Eagles got from former defensive lineman Milton Williams. which was a third-round pick.

The Eagles will be looking for more via trade, and while Howie isn't opposed to stocking picks a year away, they may want a 2027 return if they move him.

For what it’s worth, I got the impression that the Eagles woudl like to extend Moro as far back as training camp, and I would not be surprised if Ojomo was willing to take slightly less to stay in Philadelphia. When I discussed his looking at free agency back in August for Philly Sports Network, I put the chance of him staying with the Birds at 70%. The number seems high, but so does their apparent interest in retaining him.

Nolan Smith Jr., EDGE

Philadelphia exercised Smith’s fifth-year option, keeping him under contract through 2027.

Many have floated his name as a trade candidate, but it would be surprising considering their lack of edge depth and talent thus far. His youth and untapped ability still intrigue me; we will see if it does the Eagles as well.

If the Eagles did consider a move, a second- or third-round pick plus a player would seem like the return it would take to make Roseman jump.

Arnold Ebiketie, Edge

Arnold has shown an ability to be a functional rotational pass rusher, but if Philly could land a late-round pick, they may also make him available.

A lot may hinge on whether the Eagles win or lose Sunday night against the Commanders, but another loss could change their need for veteran depth, and they could pivot to seeing what the younger player can contribute and if they can be a part of their future.

Riq Woolen, CB

Riq is on an expiring contract; the team has no draft capital invested in him, and he could likely net a 4th-round pick in return.

Many teams in the league could use help at corner, and for a team on a five-game losing streak, another loss could seal that move.

Woolen did not have the market he expected in free agency after leaving Seattle, and the Birds would be wise to get a pick now as opposed to seeing what a comp pick would be if he struggles to get a long-term deal once again.

Offense

Dallas Goedert, TE

The Eagles would likely look to net a 4th- or 5th-round pick for Dallas. Philadelphia has signed him twice to one-year contracts, and he does not appear to be in their long-term plans, especially after using a second-round pick on Elo Stowers. Trading Goedert seems mutually beneficial.

He is on a relatively cheap one-year deal and has enough left in the tank to help a team that needs a tight end.

A deal with the Browns would make sense because they need a second tight end and the Eagles' front office has a relationship with Cleveland.

Hollywood Brown, WR

Howie would probably be happy to net a sixth-round pick for Hollywood.

Philadelphia brought him in on a one-year deal, hoping he could be the burner to stretch the field and add speed to their roster, but that hasn't materialized.

He has rarely been on the field, and a move would seemingly be best for both sides.

Fred Johnson, OL

Fred is a versatile offensive line depth piece who could appeal to a team dealing with injuries up front. He is not playing despite all their injuries up front, and it appears they do not see him as part of their future. If Philadelphia were offered a late-round draft pick for him, it would seem likely that they’d accept.

Tyler Steen, OL

Steen has starting experience and positional versatility, making him an intriguing trade candidate if Philadelphia chooses to move on. He has an expiring contract, and fan favorite Willie Lampkin could slide into his position.

Steen could possibly net a fifth-round pick back, and if he is not in their future plans, they may be willing to accept a deal for him.

Players unlikely to be moved

Saquon Barkley, Landon Dickerson, and Zack Baun.

Two are due to injuries, one is the defense's current QB, and all three come with varying degrees of large dead cap hits.

Takeaway

I would focus on the players approaching free agency and playing on expiring contracts as the most likely to be dealt.

The Eagles should and will listen to all offers, espeically players on expiring contracts and those they do not see as being a part of their long-term future plans.
