The Italian tradition of the Feast of the Seven Fishes is a Philly favorite, but in Fishtown, things get a little briney when it comes to this holiday classic.

The Feast of the Seven Pickles is set to return for its fifth year next month after four consecutive sold-out holiday parties curated by Fishtown Pickle Project. In 2025, the salty event will hold the theme of “The Diner Edition” and will be held at Percy ( 1700 N Front St.) on Tuesday, Dec. 16.

The evening will feature a seven-course pickle-centric dinner menu alongside a “Pickle Sundae Bar” and themed drinks.

As a release notes, the menu — a collaboration between Percy chef Jack Smith and Fishtown Pickle co-owner Mike Sicinski — will feature deviled eggs and latke with smoked fish and pickle slaw (a nod to Chanukah, as the event falls on the third night of the holiday); a pumpkin soup with winter squash kimchi; a fourth course that combines a corned pork belly “Reuben” with sweet onion pickle glaze, fermented red cabbage kraut and rye bread gremolata; an antipasto with Fishtown Pickle Dip, and the final savory course holding a pickle-brined chicken schnitzel.

The last course will be held in Percy’s Sound Lounge for a sweet finish of fermented honey wet walnuts, tea-pickled golden raisins, hot fudge, whipped sour cream, fermented fruit, and more for the Pickle Sundae Bar. The event will also feature the opportunity to peruse through a pop-up “holiday market” curated with goods from local makers. A portion of proceeds from shop sales will benefit Sharing Excess, a national food rescue nonprofit connecting surplus food from businesses to communities in need.

“We truly enjoy having folks join us for this event each year. Some have even made it their own annual tradition,” says Fishtown Pickle co-owner, Niki Toscani. “We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to Fishtown for a good cause and delicious eats at one of our favorite local joints.”

The Fifth Annual Feast of the Seven Pickles will feature two seatings, one from 5 to 7 p.m., and one from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., with up to 65 seats available per slot. Tickets cost $105 per person (inclusive of tax and gratuity), with $10 per ticket also going to Sharing Excess.

Tickets will go on sale on Fishtown Pickle’s website on National Pickle Day (Friday, Nov. 14). For more information, visit fishtownpickles.com
