As a dangerous heatwave is expected to push temperatures as high as 103 degrees by Friday, the FIFA Fan Festival at Lemon Hill is adjusting its operating hours to protect fans and staff from extreme heat.

Festival organizers said the revised schedule is part of ongoing efforts to address extreme heat as it settles into the region, with changes designed to limit time spent on-site during the hottest parts of the day.

On Monday, June 29, the festival will operate from noon to 7:30 p.m., featuring matches including Brazil vs. Japan at 1 p.m. and Germany vs. Paraguay at 4:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, June 30, the Fan Festival will be open from 4 p.m. to midnight, with France vs. Sweden at 5 p.m. and Mexico vs. Ecuador at 9 p.m.

Wednesday, July 1 will see hours from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., including England vs. DR Congo at noon, Belgium vs. Senegal at 4 p.m., and USA vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina at 8 p.m.

On Thursday, July 2, the festival will be open from 6 to 10 p.m., with Portugal vs. Croatia scheduled for 7 p.m., while Friday, July 3 will run from 5 to 9 p.m. and feature Argentina vs. Cape Verde at 6 p.m.

Saturday, July 4 will have limited hours from noon until the conclusion of the 1 p.m. match, W73 vs. W75, and organizers noted that everyone must depart the festival footprint at the end of that match.

The week concludes on Sunday, July 5, when the festival will operate from 3 to 11 p.m., featuring W76 vs. W78 at 4 p.m. and W79 vs. W80 at 8 p.m.

An Extreme Heat Watch is in effect in the Philadelphia area from July 1 through July 4.
