MLS Matchday 10 Preview: The madness continues!

MLS action rages on! We're now at matchday 10. Only six matchdays left until the World Cup break; who will capitalize on their chances?

Posted

We already had some midweek MLS action, and now it's time for the weekend. MLS Matchday 9 provided 43 goals across 11 matches, including one goalkeeper goal!

With Matchday 10 here, we shall see what craziness is in store!

Toronto FC kicks off the day with a home matchup against Atlanta United. Toronto has turned heads this season, and they are coming off a draw against the Philadelphia Union, where their goalkeeper scored the equalizer in the final stages of the match.

Inter Miami versus the New England Revolution looks to be a fun one. Just like Toronto, New England has surprised the doubters early. They are sitting third in the Eastern Conference. Miami will be an excellent test for them.

The Philadelphia Union will take on the Columbus Crew in Ohio. Even though these two clubs are technically not considered rivals, the matches always cause some fireworks. Both sides have struggled mightily this year, so they should both be coming out hot.

Austin FC will take on the Houston Dynamo in this weekend's Walmart Saturday Showdown, and Sunday Night Soccer will feature the LA Galaxy taking on Real Salt Lake.

Philadelphia Union defender Olwethu Makhanya (29) battles for the ball with Toronto FC forward Josh Sargent (9) in the first half at BMO Field.
