The City of Philadelphia has released details on road closures, parking restrictions and transit impacts ahead of the 2026 Philly Pride March and Festival, which will take place Sunday, June 7.
Thousands of people are expected to gather for the annual celebration, which begins with the Philly Pride March at 11 a.m. and continues with the Philly Pride Festival along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway from noon to 7 p.m.
This year's Pride March will start at 13th and Locust streets and proceed through Center City before ending at 21st Street and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Unlike some previous Pride events, organizers note that floats, corporate banners, large institutional displays and vehicles will not be permitted in the march. The event remains open to the public and free to participate in.
Participants will begin assembling at 9 a.m. along Spruce Street between Juniper and 12th streets, as well as along 13th Street between Locust and Pine streets. Temporary no-parking restrictions will be in effect in those areas beginning at 8 a.m.
The march route will travel north on 13th Street to Market Street, west on Market Street to Juniper Street, north on Juniper Street to John F. Kennedy Boulevard, west on JFK Boulevard to 16th Street, north on 16th Street to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and west along the Parkway to 21st Street. The march is scheduled to conclude at noon.
Following the march, the Philly Pride Festival will transform a portion of the Parkway into a daylong celebration of the LGBTQ+ community. Organizers say the festival will feature community resources, youth and family programming, a low-sensory relaxation area and a sober space with a dry bar.
Festival admission is $10, while participation in the march remains free.
To accommodate the event, several major road closures will be in place beginning at 5 a.m. Sunday and lasting until approximately 9 p.m. Affected roadways include the Benjamin Franklin Parkway from 20th Street to Eakins Oval, including cross streets, the Spring Garden Street Tunnel, and the inbound Spring Garden Street Bridge. The inbound lane of Kelly Drive will be detoured to Pennsylvania Avenue.
Cross traffic at 20th and 21st streets will be permitted when conditions allow.
The city also announced temporary no-parking restrictions along impacted roadways from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Vehicles parked in posted areas during restricted hours may be relocated.
Public transportation riders should expect service changes as SEPTA Bus Routes 7, 32, 38, 43, 48 and 49 will operate on detours beginning at approximately 4:30 a.m. Sunday through 10 p.m. Detours will be posted, and specific route changes are available on the System Status Page at septa.org.
Attendees can sign up for free text alerts from the city to get weather, transit, event details, and public safety updates. Text ReadyPhila (one word, no space) to 888-777.
