A man is being hailed as a hero after he saved another man from committing suicide in a SEPTA station, CBS3 reported.
The incident reportedly happened on Wednesday in Center City around 9:00 a.m. at the Race-Vine station.

The hero, 56-year-old Calvin Wilson, told CBS3 he saw a woman arguing with her husband as she tried to stop him from jumping onto the tracks.
“And then all of a sudden, she really let out a real scream, ‘Help me. I need help. He’s trying to kill himself,'” Wilson explained. He then jumped into action while other passengers pressed emergency response buttons to notify the police.

“That’s when I grabbed him, and I just took one good breath,” Wilson told 6ABC. “I took one good breath and said, ‘This is it,’ and I just threw my weight.”
Once Wilson pulled the man to safety, SEPTA police arrived and took control of the situation, CBS3 reported.
“An angel dropped down on Race-Vine station today,” SEPTA Police Chief Thomas Nestel told CBS3.
