A suspected serial robber strikes again.
The man who allegedly hit three banks this month robbed a TD Bank in Roxborough this afternoon.
Around Noon the man entered the bank, which is located at 5501 Ridge Avenue, and passed a demand note to the teller. After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled the bank on foot. He was seen running north on Ridge Avenue, then west on Markle Street, police said.
The robber is described as a black male in his late 20s to early 30s, approximately 5-feet-9-inches tall with a medium build, medium to dark complexion, with a goatee and glasses. He wore a black knit cap, black hooded sweatshirt, and black knit gloves.
This subject is believed to be connected to at least four other incidents this month, including the attempted robbery of this same TD branch on Thursday. He is believed to also be responsible for robbing a Citizens Bank on Feb. 2 in Bala Cynwyd, TD Bank in Haverford on Feb. 12 and Sovereign Bank in Bala Cynwyd on Valentines Day.
