Toys 4 Tots Benefit: El Camino Gives a Sh#t Cocktail Advent Calendar

From now until Christmas Eve, Northern Liberties hotspot El Camino will debut a brand new holiday-themed cocktail each day for $10 with proceeds from sales of the daily “Christmas Cocktail” on their Advent Calendar going directly to the Toys for Tots Foundation. Cocktails range from the Santa’s Little Helper (made with Tito’s handmade vodka, grapefruit juice, apertivo select and soda), The Grinch (an El Jimador jalapeno margarita),  The Hebrew Hammer (made with corazone silver, manischewitz and sour) and much more. This is the third year El Camino is running this event with Tito’s Vodka, who matched their donation and they have raised nearly $5,000 to date. The cocktails are available for outdoor seating in their extensive outdoor seating area that is heated and decorated, plus to go.

Hot Dog Holiday Pop-up

The weather outside might be chilly, but this event is hot and tasty. Ortlieb’s Hot Dog Holiday Pop Up is now offering variety of loaded hot dogs, chili and tasty vegan options plus serving up hot holiday cocktails-to-go like Santa’s Little Helper Hot Chocolate. The pop-up is open Thursday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with outdoor seating themed for the holiday spirit.

The Gingerbread Man

Garces Executive Pastry Chef, Marko Krancher is hosting a fun 45-minute group lesson in creating your dream gingerbread house this holiday season. The class takes place this Saturday, Dec. 19 at 2 p.m. and the gingerbread house kit will be available for pick-up a day before. Those interested however can also add some additional offerings including a completed formal gingerbread house for $80, gingerbread cookie kit for $25, or a holiday hot chocolate kit for $12. Everything will be able to pick-up at The Olde Bar.

Sisterly Love Citywide Food Fair

According to a release, a traveling holiday food market brought to you by the leading female entrepreneurs of Philadelphia’s hospitality scene, dubbed “Sisterly Love Citywide Food Fair” has recently been making waves in the city. Every Saturday and Sunday through Dec. 20, look for COVID-safe, pre-packaged items ranging from baked goods to handmade pastas, ramen kits, artisanal condiments and more to female-owned and operated locations across the city. From noon to 2 p.m., every weekend the traveling food market makes it easy for Philadelphians to shop small, shop local and shop female this holiday season. The schedule for the traveling female food market locations will change, but this week’s (Dec. 20) will be grand-opening weekend for “East Philly Cafe” as well.

Hawthorne’s and Pivot Coffee Santa Brunch in Christmas Garden

The first Santa Brunch in Hawthornes’ Christmas Garden is this Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and diners can expect hot cocoa, games, and toys included in your reservation. Pivot Coffee and Hawthornes will also team up for the holidays with a special menu of sweets and treats for ordering for Christmas. All items are available for pre-order currently through the website hawthornecafe.com while the Pivot website is finished. Orders can also be placed by phone at 215-627-3012. Deadline for pre-orders will be Dec. 20 or until sold out and all items will be available for pickup at Pivot Coffee on Dec. 22, 23 and 24.

Dinner With Santa! at Germantown Garden

There has been brunch with Elsa from “Frozen,” but now, there is also dinner with Santa at the new outdoor concept from Glu Hospitality, Germantown Garden Grill. Diners can enjoy dinner in a socially distanced and heated igloo while also enjoying a socially-distanced photo opportunity with Santa, Christmas music and a grand entrance. This event is part of the Northern Liberties Holiday Pop-up and pairs two small businesses together to support each other during the pandemic and will take place Friday, Dec. 18 at 4 p.m.
