Temple wins third straight

Temple improved to 8-2 in the season with a 28-10 win at Kent State.

Owls quarterback Mike Gerardi was 21-for-29 passing for 368 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. Running back Bernard Pierce had 28 carries for 84 yards and a touchdown. Michael Campbell had five receptions for
137 yards.

The Owls are tied with Ohio atop the East division standings of the MAC with a 5-1 conference record. They will face Ohio at home next Tuesday and then Miami of Ohio on the road the week after with a trip to the MAC championship game on the line.
