Paterno gets 400th victory

With the Nittany Lions trailing 21-7 at halftime and a road game at Ohio State next on Penn State’s schedule, it looked like Joe Paterno may have had to wait a couple more weeks for his 400th win.

But Paterno’s troops rallied for 28 unanswered points in the second half to defeat Northwestern, 35-21.

PSU?quarterback Matthew McGloin was 18-for-29 passing for 225 yards and four touchdowns. Evan Royster ran for 134 yards, and Silas Reed totaled 131 rushing yards and a touchdown.
