Thanksgiving Eve: The biggest party night of the year is here

Expect a packed house at Lit UltraBar.

The night before Thanksgiving has achieved national recognition as the biggest drinking night of the year. With no work or school the next day, and dinner not until late afternoon, you have every excuse to check out these Philadelphia hotspots.

This will be the largest Thanksgiving Eve celebration in the City of Brotherly Love. For $10 general admission, enjoy the Turkey Crawl bar hop inside the complex, sampling more than 50 craft beers. Victory Beer Hall offers pie-eating contests, and PBR challenges you to ride the mechanical turkey.

Remember that Rebecca Black spinoff video “It’s Thanksgiving?” Neither do we, but you might be crooning it in the karaoke lounge after a few Pumpkin Pie Shots. With no cover charge all night long, you’ll have more dough to slurp up some Pilgrim Punch.

Rumor
9 p.m.
1500 Sansom St.
215-988-0777
www.rumorphilly.com
Come together with German native DJ Jerome Isma-Ae as he lights up the night. Get there early though, because Rumor always packs a crowd.

DJ A-Run spins those beats with a $10 cover for guest listers and a $20 cover after 11 p.m. Make sure your group of friends meets up outside because cell reception in the lounge is spotty.

The Barbary
10 p.m.
951 Frankford Ave.
215-634-7400
www.thebarbary.org
Turn back the clock to before your cousin needed gluten-free stuffing and party like it’s the ’90s. DJ DeeJay hosts the Macarena down memory lane with a $5 cover charge.

Zee Bar
10 p.m.
100 Spring Garden St.
215-922-2994

It’s unlikely Taylor Swift will attend, but come on out for the Red Ball. Forget the bird in the oven with $3 Yuengling and Yuengling Lites as well as $6 Absolut and Sailor Jerry. If you dress in red, you’ll pay no cover charge.
