The new Museum of the American Revolution celebrates famous revolutionary women (and your mom) with a Mother’s Day Tea. The elegant afternoon affair will include fresh scones with currants and lemon zest (served with clotted cream and jam), petit fours, French macaroons and tea sandwiches in the museum’s Liberty Hall. Once you’re finished, take mom on a tour of the museum’s exhibits. Each child in attendance will be given a keepsake miniature stitch sampler. Tickets cost $45 for adults, $35 for youth ages 6 to 17 and $10 for children 5 and under.

The Mother’s Day Brunch menu includes endless mimosas, bellinis and bloody marys.
