The Reeds at Shelter Haven is debuting a new luxury Salt Spa

Nestled away in the coastal shore town of Stone Harbor near Avalon is The Reeds at Shelter Haven resort hotel. Although it may seem like just a sunny-time destination, this hotel has a lot more to offer. The Reeds recently announced two exciting additions – an expansion on their guest rooms and an all-new, two-story luxury Salt Spa.

The Reeds at Shelter Haven is debuting a new luxury Salt Spa

Independently owned and operated by Refined Hospitality, The Reeds at Shelter Haven offers a year-round getaway to anyone who is in serious need of a mini vacation from the city. According to a release, the expanded Reeds at Shelter Haven will include its landmark building located directly on the bay in the center of town and a new Spa Side building that will serve spa-goers, overnight guests and gatherings. The 21 new guest rooms and luxury Salt Spa destination are now on the site where Henny’s Restaurant once stood.

The new building designed by Eileen Madigan will include town view guestrooms with double queen and king beds (most with private balconies) and four Junior Suites on the turret all embodying an elegant beachside feel. The new Spa Side building offers luxurious full-service spa services as well as room service and refreshing beverages. Indulgent and relaxing services include a Turkish bath and brine room, a fitness center, a blow out bar and nail salon plus therapeutic spa experiences designed by spa director Carolyn Holdsworth (think signature massages and facials, traditional Turkish Hammam and more).

“Our goal in creating the Spa Side is to deliver on feedback that we’ve received from our guests and community over the last five years operating in Stone Harbor for more guestrooms and an unparalleled spa and fitness experience, rounding out our luxury resort offerings. We are always discovering ways to create spaces that will enhance our guest experience and inspire them to stay not only in the summer but any time of the year,” Ron Gorodesky, Managing Director of The Reeds at Shelter Haven, said in a release. “The demand for accommodations at The Reeds has made it necessary to expand our footprint.”

The Salt Spa will be the most comprehensive full-service luxury spa in southern New Jersey, and will expand on The Reeds’ wellness programming that offers other services such as yoga classes on the Roof Garden and complimentary paddle boarding and kayaking on the bay.

The Reeds at Shelter Haven is located at 9601 3rd Ave, Stone Harbor, N.J. For more information visit reedsatshelterhaven.com
