There’s a new yacht on the Delaware River, and Philadelphians can set sail on The Rendezvous while dining, dancing and checking out views of the city.

Through City Experiences, a water and land-based experience company and its subset, City Cruises (which offers dining, sightseeing and private events across 22 destinations in the U.S., Canada and the UK), Philadelphians can step foot on this floating venue and embark on tours this spring and summer season.

The three-level vessel (complete with a main dining deck, cocktail lounge and skydeck)  has an updated look compared to other ships on the CC line, but the same level of experience and atmosphere. Those who have been on the Spirit of Philadelphia before will remember the amenities—bars, decks and large windows overlooking every side of the boat—but with a more modern feel, and, a bit more space to this latest addition.

“I love that the city has a brand new attraction that not only visitors but also residents get to enjoy,” said Binh Nguyen, Senior Director of Communications at Visit Philly in a statement at the opening on April 13. “It’s just in time for what we at Visit Philadelphia think is going to be a bustling spring and summer season with people coming in from all across the region and beyond to explore our city and experience what we have to offer.”

City Experiences has made a name for itself operating on behalf of the National Park Service and the Niagara Parks Commission (they currently provide ferry service to landmarks like the Statue of Liberty National Monument, Alcatraz Island and Niagara Falls). But their curated cruises have been a fan favorite.

With that in mind, the new yacht is meant to be a space for weddings, parties, and events. The release puts it best: For decades, the Spirit of Philadelphia has provided a distinct combination of dining, dancing, and incredible waterfront views of our beloved city, and with the Rendezvous, City Cruises can continue to bring unique and entertaining ways to experience Philadelphia.

Although the company’s portfolio also includes City Ferry, Niagara Jet City Cruises, and land-based experiences with Venture Ashore, plus Walks and Devour Tours—there’s just something about Philly that makes this specific experience unique.

“Philadelphia’s unique place in history means that no matter what experience you choose, you’re going to see defining landmarks that shaped America as we know it. Philadelphia also has a distinctive personality,” City Cruises said in a previous statement to Metro. “That chance to become steeped in American history in a way that feels lighthearted and entertaining is really what sets our Philadelphia experiences apart.”
