THORNDALE – Some SEPTA passengers got a very chilly reception Thursday morning when their Regional Rail train got stuck, leaving them without heat for two hours.
An overhead wire snapped on the Paoli/Thorndale line around 7:40 a.m., officials said. Seventy passengers were stranded aboard until another train arrived at 9:30 a.m. to shuttle them back to Thorndale.
A SEPTA spokesman said the snapped wire was likely due to the cold weather. Last week, a tree knocked down wires on the same line.
