Three more Catholic churches de-consecrated

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia announced Sunday that three more churches will soon be de-consecrated.

Holy Saviour inDelaware County,Incarnation of Our Lordin Olney sectionand Our Mother of SorrowsinMontgomery County have all been closed since merging with nearby parishes.

Our Mother of Sorrows merged with another parish in 2001. Holy Savior and Incarnation of Our Lord merged with other churches in July 2013.

The churches will now be relegated to “profane but not sordid uses” according to the Archdiocese. The fate of the churches will be determined by the parishes with which they have merged.
