Torresdale native Val Keil, 22, is currently in the running to become Playboy’s Playmate of the Year.
Keil, who currently resides with the rest of the Playmates in Hugh Hefner’s mansion outside L.A., took to the airwaves this morning on Preston and Steve’s show on WMMR to promote her run.
Keil’s career as a model took off after she sent photos of herself to Playboy.com in 2011. After a lengthy wait, she was asked to provide new, professionally shot photographs. She hired Joey Del Palazzo, and two hours after sending them in, was invited for an audition in L.A.
Just three months prior to her centerfold running in Playboy, she was tending bar at Reedy’s Tavern in East Torresdale. Before that she worked at the Torresdale-Frankford Country Club, driving the cart that delivered food and drinks to golfers. She also worked at Xfinity Live’s PBR Bar and Grill, which has a mechanical bull, as a Buckle Bunny. She graduated from MaST Community Charter School.
The Playmate of the Year is chosen online by popular vote.
