Triple Shooting Kills One in Hunting Park

A triple shooting killed one man early this morning.

Police responding to reports of a person with a gun on the 5000 block of North 5th Street shortly before 3:50 a.m. found three men on the street suffering from gunshot wounds.

The first victim, 43, was shot once in the chest and was pronounced dead less than 15 minutes later at Einstein Medical Center.

The second victim, 40, was shot three times in the abdomen and was taken to Einstein in critical but stable condition. The third victim, 41, was shot once in the finger and taken to Einstein in fair condition.

The motive is unknown. Police are seeking two black men in their early 20s, one with facial hair and one tall, wearing jeans and carrying a gun, who were seen fleeing the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
