Man Arrested for Strangling Death of Feltonville Woman

Police made an arrest in the strangling death of a Feltonville woman Friday.

Officers responded to reports of a woman inside a residence on the 1900
block of East Tioga Street at 11 a.m. There, they found the body of
Maribel Rivera, 41, of the 5100 block of Whitaker Avenue.

Rivera was lying on a bed on the rear bedroom unconscious. She was taken
to Aria-Frankford Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 11:40 a.m.
The cause of death was determined to be strangulation.

Police arrested Richard Lebron, 42, of the 1900 block of East Tioga Street, and charged him with murder and related offenses.
