Two men killed in Kensington shooting

A shooting left two men dead Wednesday night in Kensington, authorities said.

Officers responded just before 11:45 p.m. to Tioga and Water streets, and they found a 40-year-old man who had been shot multiple times and a 44-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his arm and chest, according to police.

Both victims were taken to Temple University Hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries early Thursday morning. Authorities have not yet publicly identified them.

No one was arrested in the immediate aftermath of the killings.

Through Thursday, 256 people have been murdered in Philadelphia, which is down 24% compared to this point last year, police data shows.
