Two Philadelphia police officers have been assigned to desk duty after being arrested in separate incidents while off the clock over the weekend.

Officer Lee Marrero, 29, a 5-year veteran, was arrested Saturday in South Philadelphia for driving under the influence after being involved in an accident. Marrero, who had been assigned to the 22nd District, was off-duty and allegedly impaired at the scene.

In the second incident, three-year veteran Officer Eliezer Morales, 25, was arrested Saturday at Bally’s Wild West Casino in Atlantic City, N.J., for an altercation inside the casino. Morales has been charged with making terroristic threats. Both incidents are under investigation.
