Police are searching for two young men who assaulted a 72-year-old man during a robbery at a Germantown takeout restaurant Friday.
The incident happened at 5:30 p.m. at the Chinese Restaurant on 129 W. Chelten Avenue, police said. While the victim was at the counter, the two suspects entered the restaurant and pretended to wait for service when one of the suspects punched the man, knocking him to the ground. They took the victim’s wallet and fled on foot west on Chelten Avenue towards Knox Street.
The suspects are described as black males in their early 20s. One suspect has short hair, thin build, was last seen wearing a gray tank top, blue shorts, and blue sneakers. The other was seen wearing a white tee shirt, light blue shorts, and black and white sneakers.

The victim did not seek medical attention.
