Police are investigating a double stabbing in North Philadelphia that hospitalized two women this afternoon.
Police responding to a disturbance at 8th and Diamond streets shortly before 3:40 p.m. found two injured women on the street in front of a rec center.
One woman, 18, had stab wounds through her throat and the left side of her face and a second woman, 38, was stabbed in the arm.
Both were taken to Temple University Hospital, where the 18-year-old is in critical condition and the 38-year-old is stable.
No weapon was recovered at the scene and arrests have not yet been made.
